Maryushki

This is festive sweet of Karelian cuisine. The word has taken place from Karelian word «Marju» which means «berry». It tastes like soft unsweetened candy.

Maryushki contain wild berries and honey. The oldest woman in a family cooked these sweets, singing songs. Maryushki were one of the main dishes on the festival.

We have re-created the unique national Karelian sweet. Now you have chance to taste our Maryushki!
